This is how Normand Couture describes his designs. As a renowned furniture designer, Couture has captivated the world with his fashion-forward, authentic creations.

Freshly graduated at the age of 21, he opened his first modern design store and went up to seven stores, spending much time travelling the world to dig out unique finds for his customers. That experience became quite an asset when he went on the other side of the fence as a manufacturer-designer.

Years later, he was asked to design outdoor furniture and the enthusiasm for his first collections prompted him to launch, in 2010,his own high-end signature line, COUTURE Jardin, in partnership with his son Phillippe. A new passion was born!

“There’s no way to achieve a great recipe if you don’t surround yourself with the right ingredients,” Couture adds and “good design is only great when associated to good craftsmanship, quality materials and honest business principles”

Living in the mountains of Quebec with his wife Diane and their playful fox terrier, Tomi , Couture believes nature is yet another opportunity to be more creative.

After a lifetime devoted to modern design, Couture’s creations have spanned the globe gaining worldwide recognition and more than 60 awards and being sold in over 50 countries.
